Seven people were taken to the hospital tonight because of a head on crash in Granger.
People had to be cut out of two of the cars involved.
The crash happened about seven-thirty tonight on State Road 23 near Filbert Road.
That is between Fir and Gumwood.
Police say the white Bonneville hit the red van spinning that van completely around and a third car narrowly missed.
Everyone was taken to the hospital with injuries ranging from critical to simple bumps and bruises.
However the driver in the white Bonneville has been confirmed dead.
“It’s too early right now for factors involved in the accident. We have reports that one car was all over the roadway, we don't necessarily know what that means at this point, but that's why we're investigating,” says Eric Tamashasky, with the fatal alcohol crash team.
State Road 23 was closed but re-opened Tuesday evening between Cleveland and Fir after police investigate and clean up the crash.
