UPDATE: Buchanan assisted living facility residents home after fire
Buchanan, Mich. Residents of a Buchanan assisted living facility are back home after fire crews evacuated the building early Wednesday morning.

Residents of a Buchanan assisted living facility are back home after fire crews evacuated the building early Wednesday morning.
Around 1 a.m. crews arrived at the Buchanan Meadows Care Facility after a fire alarm went off. They found smoke but no flames.
The building was evacuated, and police say 36 residents were taken to City Hall. They were transported there by ambulance and local church buses.
By later in the day, everyone had been moved back in.
Details of the fire, including a cause, haven't been released. No one was hurt.
