On Tuesday Indiana Attorney General, Greg Zoeller, filed a lawsuit to freeze the assets of 58 year-old Dallard Tackett.
Tackett is a former State Police Post Commander who allegedly embezzled nearly $90,000 in State funds. He resigned from his job as Commander of the Bristol Post after he was questioned about missing checks that were supposed to be delivered by mail to the ISP post.
Investigators say Tackett cashed $89,000 in checks for himself instead of forwarding them to the Office in Indianapolis.
An investigation began when employees discovered that fewer checks than usual were being sent.
