The University of Notre Dame is partnering with ZipCar, a Massachusetts-based car-sharing service. It allows students and faculty the opportunity to rent a vehicle for as little as an hour or as long as a few days.
ZipCars are available for students 18 years and older, while many traditional car rental services require drivers to be 21 or 25 years old to rent a car.
To rent a Zipcar, students pay an annual membership fee and can reserve cars for rates as low as $18 an hour, which includes gas and insurance.
