Betty J. Grosse battled all she could with cancer and kept a positive attitude the whole way, but that battle ended in 2006 when friends and family lost Betty to cancer.

While fighting the disease with chemotherapy, Betty lost her hair in the process, and one of the only things she wanted was to keep her head warm. Betty knew her own want would bring comfort to other cancer patients, and that's when "Betty's Buddies" was born to provide stocking caps and baseball hats to area hospitals and cancer centers.

This morning on 16 Sunday Morning, Betty's daughter, Jodie Haughey, appeared on the show to talk with Alana about the struggle of having a loved one fighting cancer, and the good that came out of it.
