It was pretty exciting Wednesday morning when a local organization announced the big winner of their $25,000 room makeover. NewsCenter 16’s own Terry McFadden had the honor of drawing the winners for the Real Services room makeover raffle.
Larry and Gail Snyder won the big prize, but that wasn't all. There were several other prizes including $1,000 cash, $1500 worth of new counter tops and a lot more.
Real Services came out a winner, too. The organization that helps older adults and low income people in our area raised around $20,000 with the raffle.
“There's been excitement the whole time with this project the employees really got in there to, you know, help sell the tickets and promote the thing so a lot of excitement all around,” said Bill O'Dell, director of development for Real Services
Funding for Real Services has recently been cut, making the raffle necessary for the organization. They say they plan to do it every year.
