Southeastern Indiana police have arrested a man on battery charges alleging that he bit off most of another man's ear during an argument over who was the better gambler.
WLKY-TV reports Donald Talbott was arrested after Sunday's attack and charged with battery with serious bodily injury and disorderly conduct. He remained jailed Wednesday at the Dearborn County Jail in Lawrenceburg.
Deputies called Sunday to the Quality Inn in Greendale found Jacob Kerola screaming and bleeding with a large portion of his left ear missing. A large piece of human flesh was found on the floor in a motel room where a large crowd had gathered.
Investigators said Kerola told deputies that Talbott had bitten off part of his ear as they argued over who was the better gambler.
