Could gas prices be going up soon? There are serious concerns now that gasbuddy.com is reporting that workers will soon be striking at oil refineries.
There are reports that a strike is already underway at the BP refinery in Whiting, Indiana.
Multiple callers tell News Center 16 that workers are striking now in Whiting, because of a contract dispute.
There are also concerns about possible shutdowns at refineries across the country, because Wednesday is the deadline for nationwide contract talks covering 30,000 refinery and chemical workers.
Analysts say if strikes become widespread, gas prices could go up.
