The son of a man killed last year during a police chase in Michigan City is suing the city and the girl who hit him with her car, according to our reporting partners at the News Dispatch.
Last April, 78-year-old Frank Wojcik was killed when he was hit by a car that was being pursued by police.
The driver of the car - 17-year-old Jessica Johnson - is facing felony resisting arrest charges.
Wojcik's son John is suing her for medical and funeral expenses.
Wojcik is also suing the city because he says the police officers "carelessly and negligently pursued" Johnson.
