Fire destroyed much of an apartment building in a western suburb of Indianapolis, with flames burning through the roof.
No injuries were immediately reported after the fire broke out about 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Avon Creek Apartments in the town of Avon.
It wasn't immediately known what caused the fire in the two-story building.
Avon Battalion Chief Jeff Thompson says the blaze destroyed eight apartments and a firewall prevented it from spreading to the other half of the 16-unit building.
