Indiana lost 12,800 jobs in November

Indiana's unemployment rose last month to a seasonally adjusted rate of 7.1 percent.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics says the preliminary unemployment rate in Indiana for November was up from 6.4 percent in October. Nationwide, the unemployment rate grew from 6.5 percent to 6.7 percent last month.
Elkhart County had the highest jobless rate in Indiana at 12.4 percent, followed by neighboring LaGrange County at 11.7 percent and Noble County at 10.9 percent. Fayette County in east central Indiana also reported 10.9 percent unemployment.
Indiana lost 12,800 jobs in November. Among the largest job losses last month were those of about 1,500 workers Chrysler workers in Kokomo.
