Indian wants more high school students to take a preparatory version of the SAT, so it is covering the cost of the exam.

The Indiana Department of Education says it will pay the $13 fee for students to take the Preliminary SAT, or PSAT.

The exam prepares students for the SAT, an important exam for college admissions.

Those students who take the PSAT average higher scores on the SAT than those who did not take the preliminary test.

In past years the state has paid for the PSAT for some students, including those from low-income families.

I just saw one of Mitch Daniels new commercials......blowing about how they have control of construction cost of schools and that smaller schools are better......this guy does more flopping around than a fish out of water. Just a few weeks ago he was saying that all small schools under 2500 would have to be consolidated, because that is the optimal size.....now he says small schools are good.....SO I THINK HE'S SAYING THAT IF your school is under 2500, it could be closed and consolidated, or if your school is over that ...it could be split up. What's next? leasing the teaching of indiana out to foreign corporations? hmmmmm
