A woman accused of pouring boiling water on her sleeping boyfriend has been officially charged.

This morning the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's office filed an aggravated battery charge against Tearsa Broadnax, 41, who allegedly dumped a hot pan of water on Rickey Clark, 52.

Broadnax remains on a $50,000 bond and will be arraigned on Monday.

Officers were called to the couple's apartment in the 500-block Of East South Street around 3 a.m. Saturday, where they found Clark with severe burn wounds to his arm.

Clark was last listed in critical condition at a Fort Wayne burn unit.

Police tell us this isn't the first time they've been called to the home for domestic incidents.
