One woman was injured after a shooting in a parking lot near the Emporium Restaurant on Sunday.
It happened just after midnight. About 20 people were gathered in the parking lot in the 100 block of S. Niles Ave.
Shawn Dickens, the General Manager for the Emporium, told Newscenter 16 today the woman was not shot in the restaurant parking lot, but in the nearby city lot.
The victim was in a vehicle when she was caught in the cross hairs of a shooting between a person who was in the parking lot and a person who was near by.
The bullet went through her arm and into her chest.
Police are not sure who first started shooting. They say one of the shooters got away on a moped.
A second shooting victim went to a local hospital at around 1 a.m. but officials are unsure if that injury is related to this shooting or another scene they are unaware of.
