Sickness can be rough on any family, and when families have to travel several hours to get their child treatment, it's even more difficult.
This Saturday members of the Michiana community gathered to help Memorial Children's Hospital in the Hearts of Gold Walk.
The goal of the event was is to raise money for Memorial Children's Hospital in hopes that treatment for children can be provided right here in Michiana.
Teams registered and walked through University Park Mall from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Refreshments, blood pressure checks and face painting all took place during the event.
