Icy roads are responsible for a rollover crash that sent two Goshen teenagers to the hospital.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says the accident happened around 10 p.m. Saturday along County Road 21, just south of County Road 44.
Hattie Lemert, 19, and her boyfriend Brett Ralston, 19, were traveling north on County Road 21, when their 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck hit a patch of ice. According to crash investigators, the truck veered off the east side of the roadway into a ditch before rolling over onto its top.
Paramedics transported both teens to IU Health Goshen Hospital with back and neck injuries.
Deputies also cited the couple for not wearing their seat belts.
