Prosecutors are expected to request a teenager charged with shooting and killing her boyfriend be charged as an adult.

16-year-old Destiny Cougar Coulson was expected to appear in Berrien County Family Court Friday. However, that appearance was rescheduled for February 27 at 8:30 a.m.

Police say Coulson used a shotgun to kill 21-year-old David Quinn Jr. on January 24th in Pipestone Township after a night of drinking and arguing.

The prosecutor's office has since charged Coulson with second degree homicide and felony firearm possession.
