Suspect charged In shooting near Kroc Center

After a month, police have charged someone in the South Bend shooting near the Kroc center.

Police have charged Henry McNeal Turner IV, 17, with the May 7, 2012 shooting.

He faces two counts of battery with a deadly weapon, one count of criminal recklessness, and one count of carrying a handgun without a license.

They also granted a waiver so he that he will be prosecuted as an adult.

Back on May 7, Decarlos Lester and Joshua Wardlow where shot near the Kroc center in the 900-block of Western Ave. Both men survived the shooting.

That happened just one day after two people were gunned down about one block away.

Police have not said if the shootings are related.
