Last month, NewsCenter 16 went to Spivey's home after she missed several board meetings.

Upon arrival, the home appeared vacant and neighbors told us there were moving trucks there in April.

Spivey later told NewsCenter 16 that she was moving to North Carolina, but still lived there. She planned to resign later this month, and promised to be at Monday night's board meeting.

Instead she resigned Monday, citing family health problems. Now, the board has 30 days to appoint a replacement.
