We live in Michiana so when it comes to snow, we expect it. But instead of complain about the winter, why not have a little fun with it.
Indiana Dunes State Park is hosting a snow melt contest. Visitors can enter by guessing when they think a large snow pile, near the main gate, will finally melt.
The person with the closest guess will win a 2011 DNR entrance permit. You can vote at the park office, nature center or by email. You must include the exact date and time you think the pile will be completely melted.
The deadline to enter is March 11. Hints and updates can be found on the Indiana Dunes Facebook page.
