Police took a driver into custody early Saturday morning after he crashed an SUV into a family home.

The driver was headed east bound on Grace Street in South Bend when he failed to stop at a T-intersection with Olive Street.

Family members inside the two-story home say none of the household members were injured, but police say they transported an unnamed individual to a hospital in an ambulance.

Police took the driver into custody immediately following the accident. His name is not being released.
