The search for the killer of 84-year-old Lois Hickey took a second step back in a little less than a week after another DNA search came up empty.
Hickey was found murdered in her Mishawaka home a month ago. Investigators recovered DNA from several places.
No matches came back in Indiana's registry and this week, no matches were found in the national database either.
The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is still working on identifying a suspect.
