Just because you can't be at the big game in Indy doesn't mean you can't throw a big party here.
Several catering businesses have already taken orders and other pizza places are expecting to be busy. Restaurants and bars will be throwing their own parties. At Between the Buns they'll offer prizes and free food to entice customers to come in instead of staying home.
The restaurant says they are usually busier on Saturday nights during home games.or March madness.
“We have free raffles to give away,” says Between the Buns manager Jeff Morauski. “A bunch of stuff through out the game, free buffet at all of our locations and food specials.”
That's why places like city wide liquors are seeing a steady flow of traffic recently and are expecting a large crowd Friday and Saturday with plenty of parties being planned at home.
“Definitely a lot of beer sales,” explains City Wide liquor manager Dave Thompson. “But you know people are changing what they are drinking either wine or specialty drinks but Super Bowl is always big on the beers.”
Besides Between the Buns there are other sports bars that are offering specials on Sunday. Sports Bar Owners say every year there's talk about moving the game to Saturday night to help out restaurants and bars.
