He's been in office for less than a month, but already South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg has had to deal with some controversial issues like renovating Chase Tower and pay raises for some city workers.

Mayor Buttigieg joined 16 Morning News to discuss his time in office so far.

Although one person has already pulled out as an investor of Chase Tower, Mayor Buttigieg says people are still interested.

"We got a lot of people with interest in Chase Tower...I'm just not willing to waste tax payer money. It may take some involvement by the city to get this thing done," he said.

Mayor Buttigieg also commented on the opening of the new South Bend Kroc Center. "I saw it when they were just putting on the finishing touches so I'm really looking forward to seeing it...It's really adding a lot to South Bend," said Mayor Buttigieg.
