A North Webster man is in very serious condition after Syracuse Police and Kosciusko County Sheriff Department deputies found him passed out inside a car with a blood alcohol content of .548%, that's nearly seven times Indiana's legal limit.
Police say Bradley Martin Wine, 28, ran out of gasoline near County Road 250 East and LaPoint Drive, near Syracuse, late last night. But instead of seeking help, it's believed Wine kicked-back and consumed more alcoholic beverages until being found at 8:26 a.m. Sunday morning.
Paramedics took Wine to Kosciusko Community Hospital in very serious condition with his vital signs deteriorating rapidly. Most clinical studies suggest that BAC levels greater than .50% are typically fatal.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the case, including blood lab test results, with the potential for charges to be filed against Wine.
