A sad goodbye to one of St. Joseph County's dyed in the wool Democrats.
A family member told WNDU today that long time commissioner Richard "Dick" Larrison died Wednesday.
Larrison started his political career on the county council in 1968 and served as a commissioner in 1971 and again in 1975 for another 25 years.
Those of us in the media who dealt with Larrison knew him to be fair and forthcoming.
Larrison was instrumental in bringing I.N Tek/I.N. Kote to New Carlisle and even has a road there named after him.
Dick is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and siblings.
He was 75 years old.
Friends can pay respects on Sunday from 4-8pm at Welsheimer Funeral Home on Cleveland Road in South Bend. Funeral Services are Monday at the funeral home at 11:00 am.
