The grandmother of a South Bend boy, who police say was beaten to death by his own father, made a short appearance in court on Wednesday for her plea deadline.
On Wednesday morning, no plea deal was made for 53-year-old Dellia Castile, who is facing three counts of felony child neglect after police say she lived in the home and failed to report the abuse committed by her son, Terry Sturgis, on his children.
Sturgis is charged with murdering his 10-year-old son, Tramelle, on November 4th. He also faces eight felony counts of battery.
In January during Castile's status hearing, a judge, once again, ruled that she should stand trial on the charges.
A judge denied all three motions by her attorney in December for her discharge, dismissal, and bond reduction.
On Wednesday, a judge confirmed her record date of March 6th and trial date of March 19th.
