Crews were on the scene of a rollover accident in South Bend Wednesday morning.
It happened just before 9 a.m. near the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Lafayette Boulevard.
Police at the scene told NewsCenter 16 that the driver of the trash truck was speeding as he headed west on Colfax, causing him to flip over as tried to turn right onto Lafayette.
However, an official cause for the crash won't be released for a few days.
Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
The driver escaped with no injuries, and no other cars were involved in the accident.
The owner of the truck company, Indiana Rolloff Services, estimates the damage to be in the tens of thousands of dollars.
A portion of Lafayette was closed as crews cleaned up the mess of dirt and debris on the street that fell from the truck.
