New information could come Thursday about a Union-North school bus driver who refused to pick up a student that had a peanut allergy.
Driver Kelly Carrico was allowed to keep her job back in October, but Thursday evening the Union-North board will discuss the issue again.
Carrico is an independent bus driver for the corporation and is required to provide her own insurance. Her insurance does not cover her if she helps the boy during an emergency.
The main issue the board has been discussing is the requirement that Carrico must pick up all children on her route.
In October, board members discussed one option, to modify Carrico's contract to take out the miles she runs to get this child, or to provide a bus aide to care for him en route.
Another option was termination.
