Attempts to sell a controversial Mishawaka bar did not succeed, so the owner will continue the fight to keep his liquor license.
A request to renew the liquor license of Blue Jeans Bar was denied by St. Joseph County regulators.
Wednesday was the day that management had been scheduled to appeal the decision before state regulators in Indianapolis.
Instead, the bar owners asked for a continuance. Co-owner James Gonsalves told NewsCenter 16 that he had investigated a possible sale that "got complicated," and "didn't go through."
Gonsalves says he will continue the appeal, and is awaiting a new hearing date.
