Blue Jeans Bar and Grill has been denied a liquor license renewal by the Alcohol and Tobacco Control Board.

The Board denied the renewal with a 4-0 vote on Wednesday.

The state liquor license for Blue Jeans Bar and Grill was set to expire last month. Instead, a three month extension was granted.

From March to October of last year, police were called to the bar 23 times for underage drinking, overcrowding, fights and gunfire.

Blue Jeans is also accused of over serving the drunk driver who killed Mishawaka Cpl. James Szuba, after crashing the SUV he was driving into Szuba's squad car.
