It's a milestone that deserves a little celebration.
Thursday, the Center for the Homeless toasted to 20 years of serving the South Bend area at their annual Holiday Miracle Luncheon.
Community leaders and residents of the center gathered at the Century Center.
Residents showed their appreciation by talking about the center's impact on their life.
"Without me going through 813 S. Michigan, those front doors really changed my life and I’m so grateful and thankful that they was there to be able to help me to do a total transformation,” Center for the Homeless guest Danny Forrest said.
In 20 years, the center has worked with 44,000 men, women, and children to break the cycle of homelessness.
