The first grade students at Bremen Elementary School carried on a time-honored tradition this week.

Not only was it the 20th year for their famous Thanksgiving feast, but it was celebrated in style by a group of kids that are in a class all their own.

Looking at this years’ “pilgrims” and “Indians”, you might think you're seeing double, or triple!

There's only 115 first graders at Bremen Elementary and of those 115, there are five sets of twins and one set of triplets. That's 13 kids with a whole lot in common.

There's triplets Sam, Caroline and Jacob and twins Ronnie and Johnny, Courtney and Kelsey, Jonah and Jacob, Kierston and Megan, and Eric and Michael.

“At the very beginning, I learned I have to keep them separate, say a name, and then notice right away who's looking at me first,” says first grade teacher Rhonda McIntyre

Of course it's made easier, when someone forgets to wear their glasses or loses a tooth.

Second grade teacher Amber Lawmaster is Courtney and Kelsey's mom, and she's amazed at all the multiples.

“I'm just so excited that they're going to have kids who are going through the same thing with them for the rest of their school career,” says Lawmaster. “They have their spats, but they always have a playmate at the end of the day.”

Though there can be some sibling rivalry, on Thanksgiving feast day, the kids come together for the holiday.

“We’re thankful for our kids and we're thankful for the situation that we have. And we make the best of it,” says first grade teacher Audra Long.

“Every year they get to wear costumes. They get to make place mats. It’s very special. They talk about what they're thankful for,” says McIntyre.

Most of the multiples are divided between the four first grade classes at Bremen.

No doubt the teachers will remember this school year and the Thanksgiving feast for years to come.
