Dozens of jobs are coming to St. Joseph County on the back of a new senior living center.
Tuesday night was the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Hearth at Juday Creek. More than just jobs, it will provide a home for many local folks and others who are running the facility.
Hearth Management has communities in New York, Connecticut, and Indiana. Right now, Granger is the third in the state.
The leadership team is excited to learn about our community and the residents. Residents are excited to be taken care of and having new friends to count on.
In just two weeks, well over 100 people will walk through the doors and officially be able to say "home sweet home."
Rosalie, the first buyer and official ribbon cutter, can't wait.
Hearth management leaders can’t wait either. Their mission is built around a holistic approach which nurtures, inspires and supports the mind, body and spirit.
Dan Suits, Chief Operating Officer says, “We're looking forward to being part of the family. The building will be part of the community. It's wonderful to be in town. The community is 131 units, 101 units are for independent and assisted living residents, and we have a special memory care neighborhood called "Keep Sake Village" for 30 additional units.”
From a game room, to a theater room, and even a beauty parlor, Rosalie feels this will be her dream home.
Rosalie says, “Where I live, there's just young families and I need to get some activities in my life. That's mainly why I'm coming out here, other than the fact that it's beautiful.”
Norm Morrow, Vice President of Sales and Marketing says, “We take care of the housekeeping, meals, transportation, and activities.”
The public is invited to attend an open house on Saturday from 10-4 and Sunday from 1-4. The address is 6330 North Fir Road in Granger.
