The time to tee-off along the fairway is coming soon to Harbor Shores!
Thursday the project held tours of the golf course.
The half of the course will open this summer.
Nine holes of the golf course will open by mid-July.
The rest of the course will be completed by next summer.
Leaders hope that when the course opens the rest of the project falls into place.
“The golf course is the economic driver and once it comes online everything else people see that Harbor Shores is offering for them from the recreation standpoint, they will see the economic investment they can make to be a part of it,” says Wendy Dant Chesser from the Harbor Shores Project.
Construction will begin this summer on residential properties along Harbor Shores.
An agreement was recently reached so Harbor Shores can use part of Lake Michigan College as a pro-shop while a permanent one is built. Jack Nicklaus is expected to visit at the end of this month.
