Pretty soon people will be trading in four wheels for two as bikes take over sidewalks across Michiana.
This year's Bike the Bend will be on May 15 and registration is now open.
For the serious rider, there is a 40 mile route; for families, there are shorter routes.
Early registration costs $25 and lasts through April 30; you'll also get a t-shirt. Late registration runs through May 14 and costs $30. Registration will also cost $30 on the day of the event. Kids 17 years old and under will ride for free.
