The economy is slowly beginning to turn around, but the RV and camping industry is facing a resurgence and coming back fairly quickly.
Friday morning on "16 Morning News" we took you live to the Midwest RV and Camping Super Show in downtown Elkhart.
More than 130 campers, trailers, pop-ups, 5th wheels and much more are on display at Civic Park for guests to see.
The show began 55 years ago, but unfortunately didn't happen last year because of the economic hit the industry took due to the recession.
This year, campers can find just about anything to fit their price ranges, from $4,000 tow-behinds to full sized motorhomes costing nearly $300,000.
"Trying to bring some excitement with the show back here in Elkhart and also this is the 100th anniversary of the RV industry. In 1910 the RV started and it's home is right here in Elkhart so we happen to have the show back in Elkhart," says show director Mark Bowersox.
The Super Show runs Friday through Sunday. It's $5 for adults and kids 15 and under are free. However, Friday is free for Elkhart residents who show their identification.
