An Elkhart woman was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital after a head-on collision late Friday afternoon in Elkhart County.
Another woman is also in the hospital tonight.
Police say the accident happened just after four o'clock at County Road 50 and State Road 15 in New Paris.
36-year-old Stacey Adams was driving south on 15 when she crossed the center line to swerve out of the way of another vehicle at the intersection.
She hit a car driven by 58-year-old Amanda Graber of Goshen who broke her right hand and ankle. Graber was transported by ambulance to the hospital; Adams was airlifted from the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
