Curfew for adult businesses

Closing time for adult businesses in South Bend is now 10 P.M if you consult a city ordinance.

However, according to "Citizens for Community Values" some adult book stores and strip clubs stay open till the wee hours of the morning.

They want South Bend to crackdown on violators but the city attorney says because of state law their hands are tied.

"As citizens, we need to come forward and say 'How come were not enforcing, when clearly Mishawaka and the county are enforcing the 10 p.m closing, why isn't the city of South Bend?'", says Patrick Mangan with Citizens for Community Values.

Chuck Leone, City Attorney says, "If state law allows them to stay open because they sell alcoholic beverages, then they have a right to stay open till three a.m and we can't enforce a more strict law locally."

The adult emporium in South Bend has a posted closing time of three A.M and no liquor license however the City Attorney’s Office says they are looking into it.
