Someone in the Hoosier state is a lot richer today after winning the Powerball lottery.
The single winning ticket worth 314-million dollars was sold at a speedway convenience story in Richmond, Indiana.
Richmond is near the Indiana Ohio line, about 70 miles east of Indianapolis.
Hoosier Lottery officials are still waiting to hear from the person who purchased the ticket.
"Indiana was the first state of win Powerball way back when... six-million dollars ... that was in April of 1982. A gentleman from Brazil, Indiana won the very first Powerball prize. I'm also here to say that Indiana has had the most Powerball winners over the life over the life of Powerball. So this is a very lucky state," says Indiana Lottery official, Kathryn Densborn.
