With temperatures on the rise, it is tempting to crank up the AC and just relax.
For some, it is not that easy because they do not have an air conditioner.
The United Way is looking to change that.
An anonymous donor gave the United Way air conditioners.
The donor’s only request the units must go to families in need free of charge.
Director David Sisk says that is exactly what they will be used for.
David Sisk, director of United Way 211 says, "Temperatures are going up, it's gonna be a hot summer, there are a lot of folks in need of fans or gently used air conditioners, and we're here to really give them away to those people in need."
Tomorrow and Monday, the United Way will raffle off two used air conditioners.
To take part in the raffle, just call 211 between nine and ten on those days.
