A teen is hospitalized after a shooting in Laporte County.
It happened in the 36-hundred block of south Mitchell drive in Laporte.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call and found a 16-year old boy with a gun.
The deputies took cover and as they were doing so, the gun went off, hitting the boy in the stomach.
The boy was taken to the hospital however there is no word on his condition.
