At least one person was taken to the hospital after a crash on the US 31 Bypass in western St. Joseph County.
A truck slipped on ice and jackknifed, just south of the Mayflower Road on-ramp around 6 p.m. Two other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Both northbound lanes along the bypass were blocked for at least four hours, backing up traffic for miles during the busy rush hour commute.
