A little rain did not stop Celtic festivities Sunday in South Bend.
Beneath an overcast sky, athletes at the Michiana Celtic Festival took part in traditional competitions like stone throwing.
The festival was originally supposed to take place at Howard Park, but weather conditions due to what was Hurricane Isaac, caused organizers to move the entertainment to Fiddler's Hearth.
Still, the scene at the park brought out those who were eager to witness the Scottish-Highland heavy events.
“We still decided to still have the athletic events,” said organizer Jenny Welsh. “The guys don't really care if they get wet. We're enjoying a decent crowd. We also thought too that if people didn't know the festival was cancelled, they could still come here and still see something.”
This marked the Michiana Celtic Festival's 13th year.
