Police say a tractor-trailer clipped a school bus in central Texas, flipping the bus onto its side and sending 32 people - 29 of them children - to a hospital.

The accident occurred about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday roughly 60 miles
northeast of Austin. A trooper with the Texas Department of Public
Safety said a truck apparently ran a stop sign when it hit the bus.

The trooper said a 9-year-old was ejected through the bus' roof hatch, and the bus driver was knocked unconscious.

A hospital spokeswoman says three children were admitted, one in
critical condition. A spokesman for their school says they're expected to recover.

The bus driver also was listed in critical condition.
