Don't worry if you see zombies roaming the streets of downtown South Bend on Saturday, they're here to help out the community!

Today is the 6th annual Zombie Walk. The event takes place at Howard Park from noon until 9 p.m. The actual walk will start at 6 p.m.

The goal of the walk is to collect items for the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. Participants are encouraged to bring non-pershable food items as a donation.

Today's event goes hand-in-hand with Hunger Action Month.

Attendees can also enjoy other forms of entertainment like live music.

A make-up artist will also be on site to help transform Michiana residents into the living dead.
