A Spokane 10-year-old who wrote a book about Notre Dame football got to see the Fighting Irish pull a win over the Panthers Saturday.
The university invited him to campus after hearing about his book, "The Little Gipper."
It chronicles the history of Notre Dame football and took Jake Keyes more than a year to write.
"I looked on the Internet and I looked in books," he said. "It's about 100 pages long and I just had a great time writing the book and I hope other people really enjoy the book."
During a book signing event at the Hammes Bookstore Saturday morning, Jake met dozens of fans who share his passion.
While it made him feel like a VIP, Jake said the best part of his day came later.
Jake and nearly 20 of his family members got to watch Notre Dame play Pittsburgh in a roller coaster of a game.
"There's a whole lot of energy," Jake said. "It gets really loud sometimes and I just get really excited in there. I hope they go undefeated this season and head to the national championship."
