GRANGER, Ind.--- Women around Michiana showed their support Monday for victims of domestic violence.

The YWCA's 30th annual “Run, Jane, Run" golf outing was held today at Knollwood Country Club.

Nearly 160 women signed up to participate.

The outing began as a multi-athletic event featuring a walk and run, bike ride and other sports competitions.

Now, it is solely focused on the women's golf tournament, and it continues to do its part in raising awareness.

"Most of the women who come out I would say their not here for the prizes, they come out because they're long time supporters of the YWCA, and also because they really understand that concept of women helping women," said Amanda Ceravolo, Director of Development and Communications at the YWCA.

Notre Dame Women’s Basketball Coach Muffet McGraw chairs the event.

The YWCA of North Central Indiana is the area's largest provider of domestic violence services, helping over 1500 women and children a year.
