Women rob beauty store, take off with hair extensions

Two women reportedly stole two packages of hair extensions from a South Bend beauty store around 6:14 p.m. Saturday.

It happened at Save More Beauty, near the corner of Olive St. and Lincolnway West.

When the male clerk confronted the duo in the parking lot, they denied any wrongdoing. So he reached into their car and grabbed the passenger's black purse.

While sifting through its contents, the passenger pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun, pointed it at the clerk's head and reportedly said, "I'm going to shoot you if you don't give me my purse back."

The clerk managed to grab one box of hair extensions before handing back the purse. Both women then sped-off in a green Oldsmobile.

Thanks to store surveillance cameras, detectives have created a strong suspect description and have the Oldsmobile's license plate number. Neither are being made public at this time.
