'Women on Target' handgun class coming to South Bend

South Bend, Ind. Ladies can learn how to shoot a handgun at a special program going on next month in South Bend.

"Women on Target" is a program from the FOP Lodge 36 and National Rifle Association that will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the lodge - located at 25327 S.R. 23 in South Bend.

Registration will be at 8:30 a.m., orientation at 9 a.m. and shooting begins at 11:30 a.m.

The fee is $40. If you're interested in signing up you can call (574) 235-5014 to reserve a seat with Sgt. Tom Cameron or you can email him at tcameron@stjoepros.org.

The program is for women ages 18 and up at any experience level. It is limited to the first 30 people.

You may bring your own handgun or one will be provided to use.
